Khao Pad Recipe | Kao Pad (Thai Fried Rice)
Through trail and error, I learned how to make a delicious khao pad recipe (Thai fried rice)! It took many tries before I discovered a good combination of sauces for a good thai fried rice recipe. Due to my schedule, this became one of my staple meals for a fast and quick dinner. If you’re one of those busy bees, this khao pad recipe is a keeper. For more quick meal ideas, check out my blog post on 30 minutes or less last minute meal ideas.
My khao pad recipe requires only three sauces: oyster sauce, thin soy sauce, and Golden Mountain Seasoning Sauce. You can also you use Maggi Seasoning Sauce instead of Golden Mountain Seasoning Sauce. Leftover rice is great to use for fried rice. If you plan to make fried rice, cook the rice and wait until the next day to cook it. If you use newly cooked rice, the fried rice will be mushy and the end result will be a soggy fried rice. My preferred and recommended rice to use is Jasmine Rice.
Fried rice can be boring by itself so I add cucumbers or lettuce on the side to eat with my fried rice. I also recommend dumplings as a side dish! Please enjoy my khao pad recipe!
