I love making my Furikake Chex Mix Recipe. I enjoy the crunchiness of the cereals and pretzels along with the sweetness of the honey butter syrup and the umami of the Furikake seasoning. Once I take a bite, it is so hard to stop eating. The taste is really addicting. Honestly, I can just eat it all myself. Don’t feel bad if you feel like you don’t want to share this delectable creation. Hehe!

Many people use corn syrup to make Furikake Chex Mix, but I prefer to make my own sweet syrup, which is tastier and more satisfying to the taste buds! All you need for a wonderful party mix is corn and rice Chex, pretzel sticks, Honeycomb cereal, and Honey Nut Cheerios!! Hope you’re ready to start making some Chex mix!

Combine Crispix cereal (corn and rice chex), pretzel sticks, Honeycomb cereal, and Honey Nut Cheerios in a large bowl . Do not add the Furikake yet.

In a pot, turn the heat on low-medium heat. Add the butter and melt it. When the butter begins to melt, add the brown sugar and honey. Keep stirring until it caramelizes and cook on low heat. The syrup is good for 2 large batches.

Place your party mix on a large baking tray (16 in x 11 in) . Take half of the syrup mixture and spread evenly over the cereal. Mix with your hands, making sure the syrup coats the cereal and pretzel surface. Sprinkle the Furikake and mix again.

Bake for 45 minutes at 250 degrees F.

There will be leftover syrup, so repeat the above steps to make a second batch of the Furikake chex party mix using the same amount of cereal and pretzels that you used from the first batch. If the syrup hardens, heat again on low heat.
