DIRECTIONS
Prep all your ingredients. You will need one jar of marinara sauce or any kind of pasta sauce. In this recipe, I used Bertolli’s Olive Oil and Garlic Pasta Sauce. I took 3 sticks of mozzarella string cheese and cut them into small cubes that are about 1/2 inch. Any remaining sticks of string cheese will be sprinkled on top of the meatballs and pasta sauce. The rest of the ingredients include 1 pound of beef, garlic powder, bread crumbs, onions, 1 egg, salt and pepper.
Crack an egg and put it in the bowl with the ground beef.
Add the onions, bread crumbs, Italian Seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper
Mix up all the ingredients.
Take a golf ball size of meat and flatten it. Place a piece of string to cheese to the middle and roll the meat into a ball.
Place your beautifully rounded meatballs into a baking dish.
Pour the pasta sauce over the meatballs.
Take the leftover string cheese and shred them on top of the meatballs. Bake at 350 F for 45 minutes. Sit back and relax as you let your oven do all the cooking.
